My village is a town with great historic tradition, where settlements from the Neolithic and the Bronze Age have been found. In Roman times a pottery was located here and in our days you can admire the Church of Santa Bárbara, dating from the fourteenth century.
During the Arab occupation it was part of Ben Razin´s Taifas Kingdom, first king of the Taifa of Albarracín, until its became part of the Independent Christian Kingdom in the 12th Century.
The town is mentioned in the “Cantar del Mío Cid“, a poetic work that recounts the heroic feats of the knight Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar for the reconquest against the Arab invasion, which means that Bronchales, my town, is included in one of most interesting tracking routes called “Las tres Taifas” Teruel, Zaragoza and Guadalajara.
